Why SkyKaro?
Daedalus was an inventor, held on Crete by a king who would not let him leave. He had built the labyrinth at Knossos and knew every turn of it, but the sea was a different problem: every ship was watched. So he solved the problem nobody had solved, made wings out of feathers and wax, and taught his son Íkaros to use them.
The name stuck to the son. But the interesting figure has always been the father — the one who looked at an impossible route and worked out how to fly it. That is closer to what this job actually is. A traveller comes to us with a crossing that looks impossible: a fare that is too high, a routing that does not connect, a family of six trying to reach Amritsar at Christmas, a seat on a flight that says sold out. The work is finding the way through.
It is also why the first route pages we built were Greek ones. Athens, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Mykonos — and Crete, where the story starts, and where the labyrinth was.
We are a US flight agency with human agents on the phone at any hour, and we sell consolidator fares that booking sites do not publish. The mythology is just the name. But it is a good name for what the work is: somebody studying the route properly, so that the crossing goes well.
