Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
The short version: we use one essential cookie to make booking work, two small browser-storage keys for your preferences, and — only if you click "Accept" on our banner — Google Analytics. Nothing else. No advertising cookies, no data brokers, no cross-site tracking.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember you between pages. This site also uses localStorage, a related browser feature that stores preferences on your device without sending them to us on every request. This policy covers both.
2. Essential — always on
These make the site function. They cannot be switched off, because searching and booking would stop working without them.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
Cookie | Your session: search results, the flight you selected, your booking in progress, and the security token that protects forms from forgery. | Deleted when you close your browser |
sk-cookie |
localStorage | Remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every visit. | Until you clear it |
sk-theme |
localStorage | Remembers light or dark mode. | Until you clear it |
3. Analytics — only with your consent
If — and only if — you click Accept on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which routes are searched, where visitors drop off. Declining the banner means the analytics script is never loaded and these cookies are never set.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
Cookies (Google Analytics) | Distinguishes visitors and sessions for aggregate usage statistics. Set by Google; data is processed under Google's privacy policy. | Up to 2 years |
4. What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- No selling or sharing of browsing data with data brokers.
- Card details are never stored in cookies or browser storage — they are encrypted server-side as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Managing your choice
You can change your mind at any time:
This clears your saved choice and shows the banner again on the next page.- To remove analytics cookies that were already set, delete cookies for
skykaro.comin your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on. - Blocking the essential session cookie in your browser will stop search and booking from working — there is no way around that, it is how the booking is held together.
